 Can I use Balterio laminate flooring in combination with underfloor heating?

Balterio laminate floors can be used without difficulty in combination with water floor heating on condition that
the warm water tubes are min. 1,18inch underneath the surface and the water in the tubes doesn’t exceed 70°F.
Please follow the guidelines of your underfloor heating installer.

We recommend to avoid high temperature variations (plus and minus) when switching on/off the underfloor heating.

 Can I install Balterio laminate floor in my bathroom or any other wet room?

Balterio laminate floors cannot be installed in bathrooms because of the possible swelling of the planks.

 Can I install Balterio laminate floor in my kitchen?

Balterio laminate floors can be installed in kitchens following specific guidelines.
It is recommended to install a Balterio laminate floor with a high wear resistance of min. Class32/AC4.
Occasional splashes must be wiped off immediately.

 How do I clean my Balterio laminate floor?

Balterio laminate floors are easy to clean, see our maintenance section for general and specific cleaning.

 Can I put Balterio laminate floor over an existing floor covering (a.g. carpet, tiles, vinyl, …)?

Balterio laminate floors can be installed without any difficulty on existing hard floor coverings
(e.g. tiles, hard wood, … also vinyl) only if you use a subfloor prior to installing the laminate floor.
Soft floor coverings like carpets must be removed.
Make sure the surface is dry, even and dust-free before installing the subfloor.

 How long do I have to wait before installing Balterio laminate floor on fresh concrete?

Balterio laminate floors cannot be installed on fresh concrete.
First consider a drying period depending on the thickness of the concrete.

As a general rule we recommend as dry period:
1 week per 0,394inch for fresh concrete not thicker than 1,57inch
2 weeks per 0,394inch for fresh concrete thicker than 1,57inch

 Are Balterio laminate floors resistant to scratches?

Balterio floors offer a high scratch resistance level for residential and commercial use.

However Balterio laminate floors are not scratchproof: sharp objects can damage the floor.
Impact of high heels or the soft rubber wheels of office chairs pose no problem whatsoever,
though we do recommend that chair or furniture legs be covered with felt or plastic caps.
Sand or grit on the floor is to be avoided as much as possible, simply by placing a good-quality doormat at the entrance.

 Are Balterio laminate floors healthy?

The use of “chemical” ingredients in Balterio laminate floors follows the European standards so a Balterio laminate floor takes care of your health.

 What is the best direction to install Balterio laminate floor in a room?

Installing the planks in the same direction as the main light source in the room is
the best way to put a Balterio laminate floor.

 Can I put heavy objects (e.g. waterbeds, clothing cupboards, …) on a Balterio laminate floor?

Placing heavy objects (like water beds, clothing cupboards, …) on laminate is not a problem,
provided an 0,315inch expansion joint is planed off around the object; afterwards,
you may finish the joint with a Balterio skirting or profile.
